Our Stance on AMMBAN’s Publication on POS Charges

We would like to bring to your attention an important matter regarding the recent public notice issued by AMMBAN regarding Point of Sale (POS) charges.

As an organization, we adhere exclusively to the guidelines and regulations provided by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), as outlined in the circular titled “The Guide to Charges by Banks, Other Financial and Non-bank Financial Institutions,” published on December 20, 2019.

We hereby formally notify you to disregard the aforementioned notice by AMMBAN as it does not align with the guidelines provided by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Our operations are conducted in strict accordance with the regulations set forth by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), to which we are fully licensed and regulated. Therefore, we wish to clarify that we do not support the implementation of the new charges proposed by AMMBAN in any manner.

This correspondence serves as our official notice regarding AMMBAN’s announcement on new charges, and we kindly request all our agents to remain compliant with the guidelines and regulations of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
